Intel’s next-generation Core Nova Lake has a new interface! But the size remains the same and the radiator is compatible

Fast technology news on May 30, the processor is based on changing interfaces!

We know that Intel’s next-generation desktop Core Nova Lake will be replaced with a new interface LGA1954, and the motherboard will have to be replaced, but at least the heatsink will not have to be replaced.

According to the latest excavated information, the size of the LGA1954 interface or slot is still 45×37.5 mm, which is exactly the same as the LGA1851 of the 12th/13th/14th generation Core LGA1700 and the second-generation Core Ultra.

In addition, the mounting hole spacing does not change, and the heat sink can remain compatible.

In fact, these three interfaces belong to the Socket V series, LGA1700 also known as Socket V0, LGA1851 also known as Socket V1, and LGA1954 naturally Socket V2.

Earlier, LGA1156 and LGA1200 were the same size.

Yesterday we also mentioned that the next generation Xeon, codenamed Diamond Rapids, will also change the interface and become a LGA9324, with the actual number of pins as many as 10,096, breaking 10,000 for the first time.

In the past six generations of Xeon, five interfaces have been used, including LGA3647, LGA4189, LGA4677, LGA4710, and LGA7529.

Considering the ultra-long life of AMD AM4 and AM5, I have to lament the short life of the Intel interface.

So why does Intel change interfaces so often? There is no official explanation for this, technically it may be a lack of foresight in the design of the product, and of course there may be non-technical reasons.
