Apple’s strongest notebook! MacBook Pro internal test M3 Ultra chip

  1. According to the news of Fast Technology on May 26, an UP owner of Station B found the trace of MacBook Pro M3 Ultra in the iOS 18 system code.

At present, Apple’s top-end M3 Ultra chip is only installed on MacStudio, and the MacBook Pro on sale is equipped with three chips: M4, M4 Pro and M4 Max. The latest leak shows that Apple has also tested it on the MacBook Pro. M3 Ultra chip.

It is reported that M3 Ultra adopts Apple’s innovative UltraFusion packaging architecture to integrate two M3 Max grains together through more than 10,000 high-speed connection points to provide low-latency and high-bandwidth transmission capabilities.

This allows the system to identify the connected grains as the same complete chip, and maintain the leading energy efficiency performance in the industry while achieving surging performance. M3 Ultra integrates a total of 184 billion transistors inside, which is the strongest chip in Apple’s M series.

Not only that, M3 Ultra is equipped with a 32-core CPU, including 24 performance cores and 8 energy efficiency cores, with a performance of up to 1.5 times that of M2 Ultra and 1.8 times that of M1 Ultra. This chip also has the strongest graphics processor in Apple’s history, including up to 8 0 graphics processing cores, the performance is up to 2 times better than M2 Ultra and up to 2.6 times better than M1 Ultra.

It should be noted that despite the strong performance of M3 Ultra, Apple is unlikely to release the MacBook Pro M3 Ultra version, because the M3 Ultra chip has a great impact on the heat dissipation and battery life of the notebook.
