Increase 15 times in four years! Intel Cese on 6 is still the only MLPerf test CPU

Kuai Technology News on April 3, MLCommons released the latest MLPerf Reasoning v5.0 benchmark test results. As a representative of a general-purpose processor, Intel Xeon has once again performed well. The latest Xeon 6 performance core is very eye-catching in six key projects, and the AI performance is improved compared with the previous generation. Up to 1.9 times!

So far, Intel is still the only manufacturer that continues to submit server CPU test results to MLPerf.

In the latest round, Intel cooperated with four important OEM partners, Cisco, Dell Technology, Guangda and Supermicro, and submitted test results based on Xeon 6 performance core processors, demonstrating diversified AI workloads and deployment capabilities.

In MLPerf Reasoning v5.0, the Xeon 6 performance core processor improved the average performance by 1.9 times compared with the fifth generation of Xeon in key benchmark tests such as ResNet50, RetinaNet, 3D-UNet and the new GNN-RGAT, proving that Xeon 6 as AI The advantages of the system’s preferred CPU, especially the strength in small language models.

Compared with the third generation of Xeon submitted for the first time in 2021, the performance of ResNet50 has been improved by up to 15 times, and through software optimization, the performance of lGPT-J has been improved by 22%, and the performance of 3D U-Net benchmark test has been improved by 11%.
